Real Estate has played a major role in my life over the last twenty-five years. Selling real estate was never a planned goal, but somehow it became the most lucrative aspect of my financial picture. My husband and I began "flipping houses" before "flip" was in vogue. We purchased our first home with "sweat equity" funds and moved up the property ladder from there. We have purchased, rehabbed and built ten properties. We have owned and managed multi units, a commercial building and several single family homes. With each one having its own challenges, as well as profits, I gained a wealth of knowledge on how to present and market property to sell. After working in the challenging market of the 1980's, I learned to deal with many different lending guidelines as well as a fluctuating market; different but similar to today's challenges. I operated my own service business successfully for eight years and that cemented my future in professional client relationships. Raising two children has motivated me to continually educate myself on a higher level, including negotiation skills. I trained as one of Maine's first mediators and volunteered for Youth Alternatives for several years. This experience has heightened my desire to make sure every person I deal with leaves the table as a winner. I didn't realize at the time but it would prepare me for the much larger challenge of working in a distressed market. Recently I earned my CDPE designation which qualifies me to work with clients who are struggling to avoid foreclosure. No one should ever lose their home without exploring all their options. I help people do that; explore what is best for them and help them to move forward with dignity. In conclusion, I am confident that I can meet my consumer's needs whether it be staging, buying, selling, or negotiating a short sale or foreclosure.I welcome the opportunity to serve you.
